Discernment counseling for individuals in Denver, CO & online

Clarity for your next step.

Sometimes, the question of whether to stay or leave a relationship is something you need to work through on your own.

You might feel torn between what you hoped the relationship would be and what it currently is. You may find yourself going back and forth, unsure how to make a decision that feels clear and grounded.

Individual discernment counseling is a space to slow down that process and explore it with intention.

My approach

My approach focuses on helping you understand your experience of the relationship, including what is working, what is not, and what has been difficult to change. We look at your relational patterns, your needs, and the meaning you are making of what is happening.

From there, we work toward clarity around whether the relationship feels sustainable and aligned for you. This includes exploring what would need to change for you to stay, and whether those changes feel realistic.

If you decide that ending the relationship is the right step, I also support you in navigating the breakup process. This can include how to communicate your decision, how to move through the emotional impact, and how to begin rebuilding a sense of stability and direction afterward.

Is this right for me?

This work may be a good fit if you feel stuck in indecision about a relationship and are looking for a space to think more clearly about your options.

You might feel pulled in different directions, uncertain about your needs, or worried about the impact of either staying or leaving. You may also feel like you have outgrown the relationship but are unsure how to move forward.

Individual discernment counseling is especially helpful if you want to focus on your own clarity and decision-making process, regardless of whether your partner is involved.

What to expect

In our work together, we will explore your relationship in depth, including your experiences, patterns, and what you are hoping for moving forward.

You can expect a balance of reflection and structure. I will help guide the process so that you are not just circling the same thoughts, but moving toward greater clarity and decision-making.

If the work leads toward ending the relationship, we will also focus on how to navigate that transition in a way that feels intentional and supportive.

Over time, many people notice a greater sense of clarity, confidence in their decision-making, and an increased ability to move forward with intention.
